Bruce Museum - Renaissance Ball    |    Greenwich, CT   |   June 6, 2009

On June 6, 2009, guests gathered at the Riverside Yacht Club in celebration of the Venetian Renaissance, the Bruce Museum’s Renaissance Ball fundraiser. The venue was ideal for the Venetian-themed event and guests enjoyed being by the water, especially with the front-row view of the clear sky and full moon. Ball co-chairmen Charlène and Marei von Saher worked side-by-side with their committee chairmen on plans for the event and those hours of hard work certainly paid off. Dècor Committee chairman Jean Doyen de Montaillou used beautiful lighting, scenic backdrops and a working fountain to create an impressive and memorable setting. Live auction chairmen Sachiko Goodman and Myrna Haft coordinated for months to ensure there was something for everyone up for auction and Guy Bennett of Christie’s led us through a wonderful live auction and open paddle raise which helped raise funds for the Museum’s multiple Education programs.

The evening came to a close as guests danced the night away to the wonderful music of the Alex Donner Orchestra. The Bruce Museum is located at 1 Museum Drive in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA.
