Palm Beach Parties
Palm Beach, FL

Club Colette was a beautiful backdrop for the sixth annual dinner dance to raise funds for the Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation. The theme of this year's gala was "Into the Light" and the beautiful décor reflected light everywhere creating a mystical atmosphere.

During the dinner, Dusty Sang, Ryan’s father, thanked the Foundation’s friends and supporters and spoke about the Foundation’s progress over the past six years, including the Foundation’s fourth consecutive year of co-sponsoring, with the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard, the Pediatric Bipolar Disorder Conference held each March for scientists, researchers and clinicians from around the world. Sang also announced that the Palm Beach Day Academy would be the first school in the state of Florida to adopt ADAP (Adolescent Depression Awareness Program), an extraordinary program developed by Dr. Karen Swartz of the Johns Hopkins Medical School designed for teachers, parents and students to learn more about depression and bipolar disorder and to learn how to identify these illnesses. The Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation is underwriting all costs associated with bringing ADAP to schools.

The Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation’s mission is to foster awareness, understanding and research for Child and Adolescent Bipolar Disorder, and through its “Quest For The Test™” initiative, to find an empirical test for Bipolar Disorder so that early detection in children and adolescents becomes a reality.
