Supporters and friends of Community Centers, Inc. of Greenwich welcomed New York Times best-selling author and lifestyle anchor for Good Morning America, Lara Spencer, for a lovely lunch at The Belle Haven Club.  Lara spoke about her new book, I Brake for Yard Sales: and Flea Markets, Thrift Shops, Auctions, and the Occasional Dumpster.   She talked about her childhood and the fun she and her mother would have trolling yard sales for treasures.  Lara's passion is finding clothing and home good treasures at sales, flea markets and thrift shops.  She loves to find a bargain!  In I Brake for Yard Sales, Lara shares her secrets for bargain hunting and tells you where to shop, what to look for, how to pay for it, how to restore it, and finally, where to put it in your house.
