Horizons National Annual Dinner

Horizons National welcomed over 200 guests to its Annual Dinner Celebration on Friday, April 7, at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. The dinner was part of Horizons’ 3-day annual conference which brought together directors, teachers, alumni, board members, and supporters from its 51 programs in 17 states – including Horizons programs hosted in Fairfield County at Brunswick School, Greens Farms Academy, New Canaan Country School, Norwalk Community College, and Sacred Heart University.
As part of the dinner event, Horizons National Board Chair Jane Stoddard Williams hosted a presentation of the Lyn McNaught Teacher Awards, the Andrew Clarkson Award, and the Horizons Hero and Horizons Leadership Awards. The evening also featured a panel discussion, led by Horizons National board member Dennis Williams, HBO Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility, with Horizons students, Horizons alumni now in college or graduate school, a Horizons parent, and Kelli Wells, GE Foundation’s Executive Director, Education and Skills.
Horizons is a transformational education experience that supports low-income students over the course of their Pre-K–12 academic careers. Horizons students attend a 6-week summer program on the campus of an independent school, college, or university, and receive additional support throughout the year.
