These days, celebrations might not look like what they used to — the guest lists are likely smaller, the venues outside, the faces masked — but that doesn’t mean they can’t be just as fun. With Covid restrictions changing the way we gather, Brett Galley, the doyenne of special events, has pivoted to Pop Up Parties. Her event planning company, Hollywood Pop Gallery, is meeting the challenges of the times with their signature flare, designing smaller events geared toward social distancing.
The newly launched Pop Up Parties are a petite version of what Hollywood Pop does best. They can put together anything from a small wedding to a backyard BBQ, a birthday party or champagne soiree. For casual get-togethers, Galley is offering picnics with various themes like “BOHO-to-GO” that includes decorative pillow seating, citronella candles and bohemian picnic theme photo-op props, or “Gingham Style,” a catered picnic lunch with the traditional picnic tables and benches along with floral centerpieces and accessories.
Evening parties can feature a backyard movie under the stars with “Pop Up Movies,” a traveling movie theater complete with lawn seating, theater concession boxes, a selection of pre-wrapped treats like cotton candy, and an inflatable screen and projector. For a more formal function, call in the champagne cart. Or, take it up a notch with the Pop Prosecco Truck, a champagne toast on wheels. Galley’s team has all the resources to bring your vision to life and can work within a budget or go all out to create the anniversary party of your dreams, all done according to CDC Guidelines. They are prepared to put events together quickly and with the Pop Up packages will include catering and rentals, create beautiful lighting designs, and entertainment, and manage minutia like guest lists and invitations.
Being able to pivot amidst uncertainty is what Galley does best, and she had proven it again with her inventive party options that are fun and fanciful while keeping us all safe. So why wait to celebrate? A memorable event is still possible now, all it takes is a little creativity and some help from Hollywood Pop.
