Person to Person – A Night Under the Stars Benefit 2022
Stamford, CTApril 21, 2022
Person to Person’s (P2P) inaugural ‘A Night Under the Stars’ benefit was a celebration of community. The sold-out event held on brought together local business leaders, businesses, dignitaries, and P2P supporters to awareness and funds to support P2P’s vision of educated, financially-stable, and hunger-free homes for all. The event took place on April 21, 2022 on The Rooftop at The Village, in Stamford’s Harbor Point.
P2P serves 28,000 residents annually in Fairfield County (Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton) with the following programs: three food pantries (Darien, Norwalk, Stamford), grocery home delivery, clothing center, caseworker assistance, emergency financial assistance, scholarships, mentorships, camperships, infant layettes, and seasonal enrichment programs.
The economic toll of the pandemic resulted in a significant increase in the need for P2P’s core services. In 2021, for example, P2P’s food assistance program provided enough healthy groceries for more than TWO MILLION meals. In addition, P2P has allocated a record 2,247 financial grants and provided more than $1 MILLION in emergency financial relief.
P2P is able to support its clients thanks to a combination of a small full-time staff, an extensive network of volunteers, community partners, in-kind contributions of food and household items, and monetary donations. Learn more at p2pHelps.orgCLICK AN IMAGE TO ENLARGE
