LaMont has 14 years experience in personal training and has spent the last 7 years dedicated to the YMCA of Greenwich. His military background has taught him to walk the walk. You’ll see him putting himself through the same vigorous workouts he puts his clients through. He knows what it’s like to workout with limited time and will make the best of the time at hand.
LaMont believes in working to your full potential and will challenge your agility and coordination. His corrective exercise experience and endless library of exercises can help bring your strength program to the next level. He will work around your physical limitations to help you achieve your fitness goals.
Whether you start your day with a training session, boot camp, or an indoor cycling class, LaMont will have you doing things you never thought you could do. There is a place for everyone in his class, each exercise has its modifications for those that need a slower start or for those that want to turn up the heat on their routine. Time spent training LaMont will be full filled and action packed!

Stephanie has been training at the YMCA of Greenwich for over 10 years. In addition to personal training, she has been coaching rowing from the recreational to elite level.
Stephanie began rowing in high school, and has held a passion for the sport ever since. Currently, she is training 6 days a week and competing throughout the year, earning top rankings at Master’s Nationals and the Head of the Charles. What brought her to rowing was her swim coach’s suggestion back in high school for cross training. Still training on her own and with the help of the YMCA masters team, she continues to compete in open water events, most recently in the swim across the Chesapeake bay placing second in her age.
Stephanie’s training philosophy has developed through the years, and her main focus is balance and strength – balance amongst the muscle groups and strength stemming from your core. If you want a challenging workout filled with dynamic movements, come train at the Y!
What’s your favorite time of day to workout? 530am. Get up, get it done, and see an awesome sun rise.
Tell us about your go-to workout? If I’m at the gym, I love a quick 20 minute interval session on the rowing machine.
How many pushups can you do in a row? 25? I’ve never counted.
How many sit ups can you do in a row? 100 or more? Again, I’ve never counted.
How much can you bench press? I row, and swim, so bench press is not a functional training technique for me.
What’s your favorite snack – healthy? Grapes
What’s your favorite snack – not healthy? Ice cream
How do you take your coffee/tea? Espresso iced, drop of cream no sugar
What’s your favorite music/song for working out? Anything with a good beat, right now more rock.

Greg Loomis is the Director of Wellness at the YMCA of Greenwich and one of Greenwich’s toughest trainers. Motivating and pushing people out of their comfort zone is a passion of his. He is a USA Boxing certified coach and amateur fighter. He loves to incorporate old school strength building techniques into his innovative new style of workout programming. His passion for boxing, running, swimming, and cycling have led to him to form the Greenwich Y Boxing Club and the Greenwich Y Triathlon Team. Working with kids is a passion of his, and he has seen the confidence and strength working out has on today’s youth. If he can get you to put the iPad down and put on a pair of gloves, he has done his job!

Anja has been a competitive athlete right from the word GO. She discovered her passion for running in middle school, and it continued throughout high school where she set records. She then went on to run Division 1 at college. Post college, Anja did not lose her competitive instincts; rather, she pursued triathlon at an elite level across Sprint, Olympic, 70.3 and IronMan distances. She qualified and competed at the World Championship level for all distances.
Working at the Y with a wide range of clients in age, ability, and motivation, she holds them all to a high standard and drives them to meet their own goals and go beyond perceived boundaries all within a safe and nurturing relationship.
Anja met her husband, super-trainer and DJ, Brandon at the Y! They now have a 10 month old son who enjoys many of the family programs offered at the Y. He swims, tumbles, plays with his friends at child watch, and sings and plays instruments in music class. The Mubbukes LOVE the family YMCA!
What’s your favorite time of day to workout? Early morning!! Early, early. I used to get up at the crack of dawn to get in 100 mile bike rides before work! When I was traveling to Europe, I would get up and run to the highest point in the city to see the sun rise- can’t beat that!
Tell us about your go-to workout? My default is always running.
How many pushups can you do in a row? 100. Did it last year during my visit with Brandon to Uganda! I started laughing in the process because I couldn’t believe I was still going!

What’s your favorite snack – healthy? Depends- I love nuts, veggies, fruits, and food in general!

What have you learned from failure? It’s a opportunity to prove oneself wrong. It’s how we deal with the perceived failure and not about the failure itself.
Movement, music, members! That’s what Brandon brings to the Y!! His contagious energy and his genuine interest in those he encounters allows Brandon to teach crowds of all levels and ages. He’s tough, but that’s what he calls LOVE! Dancing, kicking, spinning, boxing- oh and sweating, is the love he brings to his loyal followers.
Brandon is not only known for his hard core workouts, creative choreography, and unique training techniques (he is anything but run-of the-mill), but also for his music. As a professional DJ, he creates perfectly blended playlists that motivate people across generations to work hard during his merciless workouts. Not only does he know music, he is an exceptional dancer and kickboxer (he was an elite competitive kickboxer), so going to class is like watching a Broadway Star up live and personal!
Brandon met his wife, Anja, at the YMCA, they know have a 10 month old son, who seems to be taking after his father with rhythm and instincts for dance!

Where did you get your famous dance moves? I learned how to dance from watching my mom dance while she made us meals in the kitchen.
