Spirit of Hope Gala 2025: A Night of Connection, Compassion, and Celebration

The 2025 Spirit of Hope Gala was an unforgettable evening filled with inspiration, generosity, and heart. Held at Wee Burn Country Club, the event brought together community members, supporters, and partners to celebrate the life-saving work of Liberation Programs.

The evening kicked off with a fun and friendly auction to name the event’s signature mocktail. In a close and spirited contest, “Liberation Libation” edged out “The Hamiltini,” named after John Hamilton, Liberation Programs’ President and CEO, setting a joyful tone for the night ahead.

Guests were deeply moved by the powerful stories shared by Joe and Luz, two clients who spoke with grace, humor, and raw honesty about their recovery journeys. Their reflections underscored the impact of compassion, care, and connection in transforming lives here in Fairfield County.

The event also honored two community champions with the 2025 Spirit of Hope Award: Paul Reinhardt, founder of the New Canaan Parent Support Group, and John Maxwell, Director of Safety at Pavarini North East Construction. Both honorees have turned personal tragedy into purpose, becoming advocates for prevention, healing, and hope. Highlighted during the evening were the official opening of Pollak Place, our new outpatient clinic in Stamford, the 30th anniversary of the Families in Recovery Program, and ongoing growth in harm reduction and prevention initiatives. It was truly a night to remember.
