YWCA Greenwich will be holding its 8th Annual Women Who Inspire Awards to recognize exceptional women in our community. YWCA Greenwich’s Women Who Inspire Awards was established to recognize and celebrate outstanding women who have excelled in philanthropic, professional, and volunteer pursuits. Importantly, these honorees have enriched the lives of many in our community. This event acknowledges the changes in society that have led to the fluidity of work/life pursuits for women of today.

Kate Clark is originally from Darien, CT. Since moving back to Connecticut nearly 20 years ago, Kate has dedicated herself to local organizations, uplifting and strengthening Greenwich’s community. She has served on the Board of Family Centers since 2015 and four years ago was elected as Board Chair. As Board Chair, her leadership guides the Board to empower children and families across Fairfield County to realize their potential. Prior to her involvement with the organization, Kate worked in the fashion world as both a buyer and designer for Ralph Lauren and Johnnie-O.

Kate’s service extends into many arenas, both in Greenwich and neighboring communities. She has previously served on the board of The Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital (part of Westchester Medical), The Greenwich International Film Festival, and Round Hill Nursery School. Kate and her husband Jim served together on the Campaign Leadership Council at Greenwich Hospital. They have also been closely involved with The Alzheimer’s Association, the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich, The Everglades Foundation, the Fiver Children’s Foundation, and Stamford Hospital.

Kate and her husband have five children and are proud grandparents of three. Throughout the years, Kate has been an active and engaged presence in her children’s schools.

She is a proud member of the Brunswick Parents’ Association, where she co-chaired the biennial Fashion Show in 2023 and has served as a class parent several times. She is currently co-chairing the senior prom.

Her oldest son, Murphy, graduated from Greenwich Country Day School in 2024, and is currently a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin. Her younger son, Burke is a senior at Brunswick School and will be joining his brother at UT in the Fall. While Kate always hoped they would follow in her footsteps to her alma mater SMU, she is happy she will have two Longhorns in the family. Hook ‘Em!
