YWCA Greenwich will be holding its 7th Annual Women Who Inspire Awards to recognize exceptional women in our community. YWCA Greenwich’s Women Who Inspire Awards was established to recognize and celebrate outstanding women who have excelled in philanthropic, professional, and volunteer pursuits. Importantly, these honorees have enriched the lives of many in our community. This event acknowledges the changes in society that have led to the fluidity of work/life pursuits for women of today.

Alessandra M. Messineo Long, Esq. has built a successful career in law and business while balancing family life and actively supporting her community through various local nonprofit organizations. From a young age, community service has been an integral part of her life, shaping her commitment to making a difference. Her resilience and determination have guided her through both personal and professional challenges. With an entrepreneurial spirit, she founded her own law firm and consistently found innovative, effective ways to raise funds and drive success-even when others saw obstacles.
Alessandra has been dedicated to the Junior League of Greenwich since 2004, holding various key Board positions and serving as President from 2015-2016. She has also co-chaired many events and committees to enhance the League’s work.
Alessandra has supported many non-profits, including GOTAA, the American Red Cross, Abilis Advisory Board, Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, and The Friends of Greenwich Senior Center.
She founded and leads her own law firm, specializing in Wills, Trusts and Estates, Probate and Administration, General Business Law, and Non-Profit Law. She has been recognized as a top lawyer in Fairfield County from 2021-25 and has received Lawyer of Distinction titles for the past five years. Before starting her firm, she worked as In-House Counsel for Sempra Energy and Long Island Lighting Company.
Alessandra and her husband live in Riverside and are the proud parents of three children. She is a marathon runner who enjoys yoga and skiing as well as supporting her three children in their athletic and artistic endeavors.
