YWCA Greenwich will be holding its 5th Annual Women Who Inspire Awards to recognize exceptional women in our community. YWCA Greenwich’s Women Who Inspire Awards was established to recognize and celebrate outstanding women who have excelled in philanthropic, professional, and volunteer pursuits. Importantly, these honorees have enriched the lives of many in our community. This event acknowledges the changes in society that have led to the fluidity of work/life pursuits for women of today.

Danielle Eason is a graduate of Williams College where she received a B.A. in Art History. She began her career at the auction house DOYLE NY and worked in Development for the Philadelphia Museum of Art before transitioning to a career in retail, working in the Merchandise Planning and Strategic Planning offices for retailers such as Ann Taylor and Total Wine & More.

In 2004, Danielle co-founded Myself Belts, a company with a patented one-handed belt closure to help young children, those with special needs or adults needing an easy-to-fasten solution. Myself Belts can be found in stores worldwide and were featured on a 2014 episode of ABC’s Shark Tank. Danielle served as COO until the company was sold in the spring of 2022.

Since moving to Connecticut in 2005, Danielle has focused her attention on her family and various volunteer efforts. Danielle served on the Board of the Selma Maisel Nursery School at Temple Sholom and has held many roles within the Parents Association at Rye Country Day School. Danielle currently co-chairs RCDS’s Community Connections group which organizes DEI efforts for the school community. Danielle has served as a class agent for Williams College since 1998 and has been the President of the Williams College Regional Alumni Society since 2009.

Danielle has volunteered for Planned Parenthood of Southern New England in a myriad of ways. From 2012-2017 Danielle served as a hand holder to patients at the Stamford CT clinic. She was a co-chair of PPSNE’s largest fundraiser, the annual spring luncheon, from 2014-2021. Danielle has been a member of the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England since 2017, serving on the Board Governance and Philanthropy committees. In 2017 Danielle also joined the Board of Planned Parenthood Votes! CT, the advocacy and political arm of PPSNE, and has served as Board Chair since 2020. One of Danielle’s favorite responsibilities has been speaking at various local rallies on behalf of PPV!CT.

Danielle and her husband, Evan, reside in Greenwich and have two children, Julia (18) and Andrew (14).
