On April 10, members of Breast Cancer Alliance’s leadership and grantees gathered for BCA’s Annual Dinner at The Milbrook Club. The evening was filled with gratitude, reflection, and a shared commitment to advancing BCA’s mission: improving survival rates and quality of life for those impacted by breast cancer through better prevention, early detection, treatment, and cure. The event brought together BCA’s Board of Directors, Advisory Council, Medical Advisory Board, grantees and welcomed the organization’s newest board members.

A highlight of the evening was a presentation by Dr. Susan Baserga, William H. Fleming, M.D. Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, Professor of Genetics and of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale, and a 2019 BCA research grant recipient. Dr. Baserga shared insights into her groundbreaking work, offering guests a fascinating look into the future of cancer research and its potential for new treatments.

Guests enjoyed meaningful conversation over dinner while celebrating the strides BCA has made this year, including funding $1.3 million for four Exceptional Project Research Grants, three Young Investigator Grants, four Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowships, and nine grants providing screening and diagnostic services for underserved women in Connecticut and Westchester County.
