YWCA Greenwich held The Coretta Scott King and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Conversation titled “Third Spaces: Building Belonging Beyond Home and Work.” Led by renowned sociologist Eric Klinenberg, the discussion brought together state and local leaders including Connecticut Housing Commissioner Seila Mosquera-Bruno, UConn’s Andrew Clark, Stamford DEI Director Carmen Hughes, and environmental advocate Denise Savageau. Grounded in Klinenberg’s bestselling book Palaces for the People, the program explored how social infrastructure can strengthen community, reduce inequity, and rebuild civic connection.
